Board and Train Program

Price: $1,750 per month

Professional foundation training designed to build obedience, structure, engagement, and control. Ideal for owners seeking a strong training foundation, improved reliability, and accelerated development.

Training can include:

• Confidence building

• Introduction to working foundations (if appropriate)

Reservation Deposit

Deposit: $500

Required to reserve your puppy. Deposit is applied toward the total purchase price.

Experience & Commitment

Owners must understand the needs of a high-drive working breed and be fully committed to providing structure, training, and daily engagement.

Stable Home Environment

Applicants must provide a safe, stable living environment with adequate space and proper containment. A fenced yard is preferred but not required if proper exercise and management are provided.

Training Commitment

Buyers must be willing to actively train their dog and continue development through obedience, sport, protection, or structured working outlets. Professional training is strongly encouraged.

Financial Responsibility

Owners must be financially prepared to provide proper veterinary care, nutrition, training, and equipment throughout the dog’s life.

Long-Term Commitment

This breed requires a 10–14 year commitment. Applicants must be prepared to care for the dog for its entire lifetime.

Proper Placement Priority

We reserve the right to approve or decline any application to ensure each puppy is placed in the most suitable home.

Lifetime Return Policy

If at any point the owner cannot keep the dog, the dog must be returned to Gillis Malinois. We do not allow our dogs to enter shelters or rescues..

7. Apply (Application is Below)

The first step in reserving or purchasing a Gillis Malinois puppy is completing our Puppy Application. This allows us to understand your experience, lifestyle, and goals so we can ensure the right match between puppy and owner.

We evaluate applicants based on:

Experience with working or high-drive breeds

Lifestyle, activity level, and home environment

Training plans and commitment to structure

Intended purpose (family companion, protection, sport, or working role)

Long-term commitment and ability to provide proper care

Our priority is placing each puppy in a home where they will thrive and reach their full potential.

Once approved, you will be invited to place a reservation deposit and sign a contact.

Approved applicants may reserve a puppy with a non-refundable deposit of $500, which secures your position on the reservation list.

A contact is required at time of deposit.

Care and ownership expectations

Reservation order determines puppy selection order.

You may reserve based on:

• Gender preference
• Specific litter (when applicable)

Puppy Selection Process

Puppy selection typically occurs between 6–7 weeks of age, after temperaments, drive, and overall development can be properly evaluated.

Selection order is based on reservation order. However, we also guide placement based on:

• Drive level
• Family environment
• Experience level
• Intended purpose (family companion, protection, sport, etc.)

Our goal is to ensure the best long-term match for both puppy and owner.

10. Contract & Final Payment

All buyers are required to sign the last section of the Puppy Purchase Agreement at pickup or delivery.

Final payment is due by 7 weeks of age and must be completed before the puppy leaves our care.

Puppies are ready to go home at 8 weeks of age.

We offer personal delivery anywhere in the United States for a flat rate of $1,500. Your puppy will be safely transported and delivered directly to your home.

Flight Nanny Services (Available – Preferred for clients located more than 1,000 miles from Michigan)

We offer professional Flight Nanny service to safely deliver your puppy to your nearest major airport. Services are anywhere in the United States for a flat rate of $1,500. Your puppy will travel in-cabin with a dedicated, experienced handler to ensure comfort, safety, and proper care throughout the entire journey.

This service includes:

• In-cabin air travel with a trusted flight nanny
• Continuous supervision and care during transport
• Safe, stress-minimized travel experience
• Coordination of flight schedule and airport meeting details

You will meet the flight nanny at your designated airport, where your puppy will be personally handed off to you.

Flight nanny delivery provides a safe and efficient option for clients located long distances away, while ensuring your puppy arrives healthy, secure, and well cared for.

Each puppy goes home with:

• AKC registration paperwork
